Visit Amed with a local

Relaxed fishing villages on the east coast with snorkelling, black-sand beaches and Mount Agung views.

Amed is a string of small fishing villages on Bali’s far east coast. Traditional jukung boats line the black-sand beaches, and the clear, calm water is great for snorkelling and diving — including the USAT Liberty shipwreck at nearby Tulamben.

The drive there passes Tirta Gangga water palace and the Lempuyang “Gates of Heaven”, so it combines well with an East Bali tour.
