Cool mountain lakes, the floating Ulun Danu Beratan temple and colourful local markets.
Bedugul is a highland area in central Bali around Lake Beratan, Lake Buyan and Lake Tamblingan. Its best-known sight is Pura Ulun Danu Beratan, a temple that seems to float on the lake with misty hills behind it.
The cooler climate is perfect for the Bali Botanic Garden, strawberry farms and the Candikuning market. It is a natural stop on the way to Munduk, Jatiluwih or the north coast.
