Tanah Lot, on the west coast in Tabanan, is a small temple set on a rocky islet that becomes surrounded by the sea at high tide. It is one of Bali’s most photographed places, especially at sunset.
Nearby Batu Bolong temple sits on a natural rock arch. Tanah Lot is easily combined with Taman Ayun Temple, the Jatiluwih rice terraces or an afternoon in Canggu.
