How do I book a driver or guide?
Open a local’s page, check their tours and prices, then tap the WhatsApp button. You chat and agree on the day, pickup time and price directly with them — no account or booking fee needed.
Why is it cheaper than big booking sites?
Big booking platforms usually keep a large commission from every booking. On Locals of Bali you pay the driver or guide directly, so more of your money goes to the local and prices can stay lower.
How do I pay?
You pay the local directly, usually in cash (IDR) on the day or by bank transfer, QRIS or other methods they list on their page. Agree on the price and what is included before your trip.
What is usually included in a private driver day?
Most day rates include the car, fuel and an English-speaking driver for around 8–10 hours. Entrance tickets, meals and sometimes parking are extra — each tour page lists what is included and not included.
Are the drivers and guides checked?
Every profile and tour is reviewed by our team before it goes live, and guest reviews are checked before they are published. Always read the reviews and chat with the local before you book.
Can I change the itinerary on the day?
Yes — that is the beauty of a private driver. Tell your driver what you would like to see; small changes are normally fine, and bigger changes (extra hours, far destinations) can be agreed together.
Do I need to tip?
Tipping is not required but very appreciated in Bali. Many travellers give around IDR 50,000–100,000 for a great day.
